Method: Ground Penetrating Radar

Description
Single-channel GPR systems use one transmitting–receiving antenna configuration and collect data sequentially along parallel survey profiles. Each profile produces a two-dimensional radargram, while closely spaced lines can be combined to generate depth slices and three-dimensional representations. Multichannel systems use an array of several antenna channels to record multiple parallel profiles simultaneously. This significantly increases survey speed, spatial coverage and data density. Integration with RTK-GNSS provides accurate positioning, while wheeled or motorized platforms allow efficient investigation of extensive areas. The resulting dense datasets support high-resolution georeferenced maps and detailed three-dimensional imaging of subsurface structures.
