Description
The UAV is made of a rigid carbon fibre platform equipped with a propulsion system consisting of eight carbon fibre rotors and propellers, with a wingspan of 1.28 m and powered by rechargeable lithium-polymer batteries. The GCS (ground control station) utilizes dual GPS units for enhanced accuracy and reliability, and it can be either controlled by an operator, or operate autonomously using pre-programmed GPS coordinates.
The UAV can be employed in conducting vertical investigations, also, being capable of reaching 12 m/s on horizontal plane and 5m/s on vertical plane.
The UAV has a high payload capacity and it can be equipped with various sensors depending on the assignment:
1. LIDAR sensor - Class 1 laser, wavelength: 905nm, Maximum range: 100m, 40000 shots per second, multi-eco technology – up to 3 echoes per shot, range resolution 4cm, autonomy 3 h
2. Camera for high-resolution texture images, with the following characteristics: image sensor in APS-C format (23.2 mm × 15.4 mm), CMOS, 36MPx full frame, 0.02 mm detail resolution; automatic focal system with sensitivity range: EV0 - EV20 (for ISO 100 equivalent, with F2.8 lens); exposure control ISO sensitivity: Still images: AUTO, ISO 100 – ISO 16000, Films: AUTO, ISO 100 equivalent – ISO 6400 and exposure compensation: ±3.0 EV (1/3 EV step); electronic shutter, vertical transversal, with focal plane, speed range: 1/4000 s till 30 s for still images, 1/4000 s to 1/4 second (1/3 EV step) for films, compatible device 1 080 60i up to 1/60 second in AUTO mode AUTO (up to 1/30 second in Auto Slow Shut mode), flash sync speed: 1/160 s, SD/micro SD memory card, rechargeable batteries; various lenses and light sources are available, egg : 20 mm f/2.8D, 70-200mm f2.8 G.
3. Thermal sensor for non-invasive structural investigation and sub-surface structure detection: emissivity from 0.1 to 1; temperature ranges: 20÷100°C, 0÷250°C, 150÷900°C; detector UFPA, Spectral range 7.5 - 13µm; lenses (FOV): 38°x 29°, 62°x49°; frame rate 80Hz, system accuracy 2% or 2°C, Temperature resolution: PI 400 LW: 0.08K with 38° and 62°, P I450LW: with 38° and 62°.
4. Multispectral sensor for detailed VIS-NIR spectral maps, material discrimination, subsurface feature detection - 3.2megapixel CMOS with 8. 5 mm C mount lens and 4,5-10 mm variable lens. Green, Red, and NIR sensitivity with bands ~ TM2, TM3, and TM4, optimized for capture of visible light wavelengths longer than 520 nm and near-infrared wavelengths up to 920 nm; NDVI, SAVI, canopy segmentation, and NIR/green ratios.
