Enclosure simulation consists of mass and energy balances of enclosures (boxes, display cases, painting frames) solved with numerical methods. Enclosure simulation allows users to predict conditions inside enclosures given the conditions outside. A range of models are available for different kinds of enclosures and environmental conditions. These may include: dust deposition, VOC emission, temperature and humidity absorption and buffering... Such models are best used together with empirical measurements obtained with loggers.
